STEI Tazkia

Three research papers of Tazkia lecturer will be presented in the 3rd International Conference on Islamic Banking and Finance (ICIBF) 2010 on Risk Management, Regulation, and Supervision. These are: “Transmission Mechanism On Dual Monetary System In Indonesia: Comparison Between Shariah and Conventional Monetary Instruments” writen by Aam S. Rusydiana, “Performance Evaluation of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia after the Financial Crisis” by Ahmad Affandi and “Appraisal of Islamic Derivatives” by Anita Priantina.

The programme is being jointly organized by the Centre of Islamic Economic and Business-University of Indonesia (PEBS-FEUI), Bank Indonesia (BI), and Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) Islamic Development Bank (IDB); to be held on 23-24,February 2010, at Bumi Karsa Bidakara Hotel , Jakarta - Indonesia.

Objectives of the conference include: (a) Taking stock of the relevance of Islamic banking and finance for inclusive financial sector development, banking and financial stability, and (b) Studying the unique risks of Islamic banking and finance and facilitating the development of risk management culture in the Islamic financial institutions by prudential regulation and effective supervision.
